The Pilgrim’s Guide to the Ka`bah (Allah’s Sacred House)

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And the best salutations be upon our master Muhammad, peace be upon him, the Seal of prophets, upon his family, companions and all his followers.

After Allah granted me the opportunity of performing the obligation of Hajj (Pilgrimage), I found that many pilgrims are unaware of how to correctly perform the different rituals of Hajj. For that, Allah has inspired me the idea of preparing a book (The Pilgrim’s Guide to the Ka`bah (Allah’s Sacred House)) in a simple and easy way, which the pilgrim can go through step by step, and to make it concise in order to facilitate its reading and its use as a useful reference. The book is also meant as a help for pilgrims and those performing ‘Umrah to put it into practice.

I aimed to follow a methodical clear plan in writing this book which may be summarized as follows:

- That the book be intermediate between brevity and lengthy details, to facilitate its reading and circulation.
- Not to leave a single issue or thought that should be mentioned unless placed in its right location and context.
- To include in the book pictures and maps that facilitate easy and quick understanding.
- To supply it with easy logical plans that compare between the three types of Hajj and to shows the way of the pilgrim or the performer of ‘Umrah step by step.
- To supply it with some definitions and vocabulary that is used in explaining the acts of Hajj.
- To include a special appendix for useful and important pieces of advice for both pilgrims and performers of ‘Umrah so as to perform their rituals without mistakes which require a sacrificial animal, corrupt their act or decrease their reward.

In view of the wide spread of the Internet all over the world, which gives the chance to Muslims and knowledge seekers to find information faster and easier than any other way, I decided to publish this book on the Internet to widely spread the benefit.

Many thanks are due to his eminence Sheikh Muhammad Nadeem El-Shahabi for giving me part of his precious time to revise and check this book, may Allah reward him the best reward for us and for all Muslims.

And I ask Allah to make Muslims around the world make use of this work and that He rewards us by giving us sincerity and acceptance, He is The Best of all Judges, and the last of our prayers is to thank Allah the Lord of the worlds.
